Ian obtained his degree
in Mechanical Engineering at Sheffield University in
1984. After working as a commissioning engineer for
the National Nuclear Corporation and then working with
the Central Electricity Research Laboratories as a development
engineer.
Ian founded BMS International
Ltd in 1989 and as the only employee had to undertake
all the tasks required to develop and produce Sootblowing
Control Systems. These tasks ranged from welding to
software development.
Under Ianıs guidance
BMS International Ltd has now become the 7th fastest
growing unquoted technology company in the UK for the
years 1999 to 2001.
Following the enormous
success of BMS systems in the USA Ian is now involved
in the development of the European market.

Richard (Bill) King

General Manager
Having worked with BMS
on a number of projects Bill, a Chartered Electrical
Engineer, finally joined the company in January 2002
as the General Manager.
Bill obtained his degree
in Electrical Engineering in 1976. After a three year
spell at a consultants as an Electrical Engineer Bill
moved to Union Carbides' electrode manufacturing facility
in Sheffield as an Electrical Project Engineer where
he was involved in the design and installation of a
number of heavy power and control systems capital projects.
With the closure of the Union Carbide facility in 1994
Bill moved as Senior Electrical Project Engineer to
London and Scandinavian Metallurgical Co.Ltd. in Rotherham
where he was responsible for the design and installation
of a number of major capital projects.
Bill's responsibilities
at BMS include ASME procedures, quality control, software
and management of the production facility.
