Europe, two new Directives 'The Directive On The Limitation
Of Certain Pollutants Into The Air From Large Combustion
Plants' and 'The Directive On National Emission Ceilings
for Certain Atmospheric Pollutants' became law in all
member states in November 2001.
These stringent new measures will undoubtedly increase generation
costs in fossil fuelled boilers.

the amount of convective area ashing so those plants that
have to install SCR systems (Selective Catalytic Reduction)
should see a reduction in ashing in the SCR plant.
